This place was awesome. We loved our time at Plaza Beach Hotel. The beach was not crowded. The resort was very peaceful and relaxing. We will return. The staff was very friendly and very helpful on places to eat and visit. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Pool is open only 11-6 (Thanksgiving time, but still seemed like bankers hours). Mini golf is a joke, but the volleyball courts are nice. People staying there were friendly, but many were smokers. The rooms are non smoking but every room had two ash trays right outside which people used and really made it uncomfortable for me. The rooms also smell and it’s impossible to get rid of the smell even with windows open. You are asked not to set the AC below 72 degrees.
We were excited to be able to have our family and friends all stay at the Plaza Beach Resort for our wedding reception and relaxation. We all had such a wonderful time. Everyone appreciated the games, chairs and activities that were provided for our convenience. THANK YOU PBR For such a great weekend. We are already planning a return.
Everything is as advertised but it is a charming motel with a kitchenette and a couple of things to play, not a “resort”. Several such motels in this area seem to call themselves “resorts”, so maybe we cannot really complain about the name choice.
We stayed 3 nights. The rooms are somewhat updated but the plumbing is terrible, water takes a very long time to drain, have to flush the toilet 3-4 times etc. For the price we could probably have found a place that provides daily cleaning. You have to check out beach towels and if you need fresh towels, you have to leave your dirty towels out by noon. You also have to leave your trash out if you want it picked up. Simple things but they made the stay not so comfortable. You will be charged $10 if you lose your key. Parking has easy access to only one set of rooms and you have to walk a liitle to the others.
If you want easy access to beach, this is good but it’s over priced, I would not stay here again. Staying at a best western tonight and the room is 10 times better!
Liliaya, Mary and Adam at the front desk we're super helpful. We brought a small dog with us, a 7 pound Yorkie and they dropped the pet fee too $12.00 a night and gave us a room upgrade because they were out of the smaller rooms. They also have a complimentary resort happy hours everyday from 4pm-5pm where you can meet the other guests and talk about fun things to do at the beach or what restaurants are worth eating at. Gonna come back and stay here next year.
The room was quaint and clean. Perfect for our little family. The kids loved the pool and beach was steps from our room. Very easy to go in and out. Loved the chairs on the beach. Great for watching the sunset. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Would definitely come back.
